What size dumpster for a roof tear-off?
For a roof, weight matters more than space.

What we'll ask
How many squares the roof is, how many layers of shingles are coming off, and whether any decking is being replaced. Those three answers tell us roughly how much the old roof will weigh.
Why weight decides the size
Shingles are heavy, so a roofing dumpster usually reaches its weight limit before it's full. A second layer of shingles adds a lot of weight, and so does replacement decking. Compare the roof's weight with the included weight: 2 tons on the 20 yard, 3 tons on the 30 and 4 tons on the 40. Anything over is $85 a ton.
Where to put it
Place the dumpster as close as you can to the side of the roof being torn off, so the crew isn't carrying debris across the yard. Tell us which side the work starts on.
When to deliver it
Every rental includes up to 7 days. Schedule delivery for the morning the tear-off starts so the dumpster isn't taking up the driveway before it's needed.
Book a roofing dumpster
Send the squares, the number of layers and the tear-off date.
Tell us about your project and we'll recommend a size, confirm the price and set a delivery day.
